Primary Classroom
The three student workbenches in the primary classroom are shown above. Note the tool cabinets under each bench top, the base plates, the quick release vises, bench dogs, florescent work lamps and the anti-fatigue mats. The benches are bolted to the base plates for stability. The lamps closest to the instructors bench are equipped with magnifying lenses for those needing help seeing knife and gauge lines. The benches and stools are adjustable for people of various heights.
The photo above shows the instructor's bench and marker board.
The contents of the tool cabinets are shown above. A sliding tray holds chisels, marking knife and engineers square. The tools under the sliding tray are a coping saw, router plane, glue bottle, adjustable square, backsaw, mortise gauge, mallet, hand plane and marking gauge. Plow planes, rabbet planes, shoulder planes and molding planes will be issued according to project requirements.
