ALUMNI, PRACTICE BASIC SKILLS FOR ONLY $20 PER CLASS After taking the basic course, some students may feel that they need improvement using certain hand tool methods. Here you can concentrate on those skills. Want to practice dovetails all day under expert supervision? Now you have a place to do it. I know what can happen. You tell yourself, " I'll make (or buy) a bench, buy some tools, clean out a space in the garage and get started." or " I'll work on my dovetails before I take that candle box class." Then a week turns into a month and one month turns into two. Don't let this happen to you! In order to prevent this from happening, I'll make this arrangement with all students who complete the basic class: If I am teaching a basic class and I have one or two benches that are not reserved (this often happens), you can contact me and reserve a bench to work on your basic skills. The $20 will go toward providing wood. You don't have to wait until you purchase your own bench and tools to practice your skills. You can come here with the added benefit that I will be there to answer questions and make sure you don't develop any bad habits. LEARN BY DOING. IT'S ALWAYS BEEN THE BEST WAY.
