These lovely shaker inspired wall shelves are constructed using sliding dovetails. There are no nails or screws that fasten the shelves to the uprights and only a drop of glue. These shelves were featured in an article in Fine Woodworking magazine where an electrical router was used to shape the uprights and cut the sliding dovetails. In this class I will show you how to perform these operations by hand very quickly, easily and with extreme accuracy.

In this class you will learn to:

	Layout casework
	Hand cut the socket portion of the sliding dovetail using simple tools
	Use a dovetail plane
	Use a bow saw
	Use a jack plane to shape the uprights and trim the shelving
	Use milk paint to its greatest advantage
